Weather today

Morning all. After weather warning last night it is certainly worse. Bitter cold. Not only sitting on an electric blanket with a smaller one round my knees, I am also using a hot water bottle. Would not be surprised to find it snowing soon. Hope everyone is O>K> Do take care and keep warm. cheers.

It's cold dark and very miserable here, but I have just watch on catch-up the program on Channel5 about the winter of 47, I should have remembered it but can't, so perhaps today is not that bad.

Widget. 1947 the snow started to fall and continued until March 17th. Caused considerable damage and problems. If we have snow on the way I cannot see it causing so much bother. Fingers crossed for my poor birds. cheers

I missed the 1947 snows! My dad was posted to HMS Malabar so I spent most of my time splashing about in the warm Bermuda waters.

Yesterday it was 30°C and brilliant sun all day. Today looks a bit the same.

Same here, a beautiful blue sky, very clear. Not a sign of any cloud. Bitter cold but then it is winter. Keep warm all and big hug for Rosie. cheers.

Cold just like winter but as yet no snow,

Bitter cold and ice patches on all the roads. The sky is a lovely blue with little white patches which makes me think of snow. Birds seem to like this weather as the have been coming to me all morning for food. Keep warm. cheers

Wish it was warm here.It is so cold.I have now turned the heating on .I am waiting for Amazon delivery but they keep changing the time.
Early to bed here tonight be warmer with hot water bottles in the bed.

Agree, it is bitter, am wrapped up in electric blankets etc. See that people are looking in on this Forum would it not be kind of the to pop in and write a little. We would love to welcome them in. After all, if they find time to pop in they could find time to write a little note or so. Take care, cheers

Morning all, still bitter cold. Wonder how long it is going to last. We have been very lucky having no snow but the rain and freezing has made many of our road very dangerous. Take care all. cheers.

I was born in the winter of 1947,my Mum gave birth to twins at home as the weather was too bad to get to hostipal for our births.


Not any warmer here today.Heating will be on in another hour or so.Might try bringing my electric throw to put over my my lap to keep me warmer.'

I brought a new tablet yesterday so I am trying to get used to it this afternoon.I was about to pack it up and send it back this morning but must try harder.

A most beautiful sunny day with a lovely clear blue sky. No sign of snow so we are very lucky. Have a super weekend folks and enjoy what we have. cheers.
