Picking the sloes is the hardest bit, but I have a farmer friend who's field is edged with them and he picks them for me, it is a pound of sloes half pound of sugar and a bottle of gin, I have a couple of the big plastic sweet jars, put it all in their stir for about a couple of months, then the other hard bit is sieving it all, I use a stocking but you can also use mesh, but it has to be sieved a good 2/3 times.
The longer you can keep it, after bottled, is better,

No wine maggeih, making me feel quite poorly. Don't loose your taste for the good stuff.cheers

Wine, all from grapes though. I used to run a winemaking night class for home hobby winemakers. They had made wine from everything from grass clippings to second hand tea leaves.

Now understand, I use to make wine out of anything but it always tasted like vinegar so never got drunk much, then moved onto kits which tasted better, now just buy it by the box or bottle.

Off to Sunday market! A beautiful day! Sun shining, people chatting and smiling carrying bags of vegetables and fruit. A very positive feel today!
